Movie Saturday : Inception

Labels:

So, I watched Inception A YEAR AFTER it was released haha. I searched and found out that it was released July 15 of last year.

Can I just say it was kind of awesome? I’m not sure why people commented that it was confusing.

How is it that movies about the subconscious are plain fascinating? LOL aren’t they? There’s nothing more thrilling to see on screen than how a mind can think of playing with the mind.

BTW, my favorite part was when Cobb was talking to Saito and reminded him they’d be young men again, together. Brokeback? Just kidding.

No, wait, scratch that. My favorite part was when Cobb admitted he planted the idea the death is the only escape in Mal’s mind and there was a flashback of them in the railway. Plus [cut to] Cobb: “But we grew old together, don’t you remember?”

Weekdays

Labels: , , , , ,
I'm back to my "rest" weekends again! One - because my weekend mates have been busy. Two - trying to save up some money. Three - really need some rest.

So last weekend I was stuck in my room to do nothing. It was kind of lame I know, and impractical since I whine about how unorganized my life is right now and all that messed up life dilemma.

The art of doing nothing is my greatest, number one, guilty pleasure. I'm so good at wasting time. It may sound very repulsive, yes? But it calms me down. I think there would be some kind of world peace if people just sat for a day and think about things that make them grin.

Ok enough of my nonsense string of calming thoughts. I'm going to stay here, in my room today. I ain't gonna comb my hair, cause ain't going anywhere... hoohoo

Weekdays

I actually can't complain about this week.

Monday, I had dinner with Miko, Erika, and Ate Mariko. "I missed Miko" is an understatement. We're too far from each other sometimes, communicating with her through mobile and the internet is not enough. I miss laughing by the mere sight of our facial expressions.

You know when I say I miss college, a part of it will always come from missing Kumiko. Always.

It's such a great bonus that Erika joined us for the night. It could never go wrong with these two. They are two of those people who make me laugh even I've had the shittiest day. They make me want to laugh, they make you want to try to crack a joke, because they make me not want to waste the time I have with them. It's comforting.

Being nostalgic and all, I dug deep into Kumiko's multiply account and found old pictures. I have to blog separately about that though. She already posted a blog about it. Lovely!

Tuesday, I never get to go home early when I promise myself to do so. Meeting up with Jervi got cancelled because he said he had to go somewhere. Maybe meet boys lol. I ended up having the usual after office routine. Dinner, coffee and pretzels. We got to redeem the free pretzels from Joy. Yay! They were telling me I am becoming one of their topics because I was MIA for a few days haha so I had to spend some time with them. TO RANT of course. :)

Wednesday, Sir Benjie's despidida. Well, no details on that. One thing is for sure though, it was fun. I was not able to join Jervi, Pao and Erika though. I couldn't leave the office even if I tried. I got a call from a drunk Erika who passed the phone to a drunk Paola who then passed it to another drunk, cussing Jervi. Haha what a nice lullaby before I sleep!

Thursday, is just kadlhvfailwuo;wfrw. Since I had to pass the previous night, we agreed to hang out after office on a Thursday. We went to Fort Agave, because of Pao haha. I was pissed off at first because they can't decide where to go, if they're going to pick me up, and to add some more stress they were late. I was hungry and anxious. Finally when we arrived, we ordered and had small talks that involved Pao and Jervi's bickering. And then I turned to face Pao. And on the background I saw you. Oh my, freaking heavens. I saw you. After, I'm guessing, nine years? Wow you still look the same. Still beautiful if I my say. Gad, I sound like a creeper.

I. just. can't. even. I looked so wasted. Darn it. But it didn't bother me much. I was a little surprised to see you. I don't think this comes from mainly or entirely having a big crush on you waaaay back when I was just starting adolescence. It's just that somehow, I came to realize I kind of looked up to you. You were different from all the people I knew back then - smart, kind, I don't really know you but I can imagine what kind of culture you got. Ok I'll just breathe and stop creeping out. LOL

Friday, is HARRY POTTER day! I'm not a fan and I'm a little lost, well most of the time. Didn't read the books, haven't even watched the movies (well except the last two) but I can say I liked it. Pma was crying haha we were all for saving her tears too but Ayee told me to shut up because it was the serious and important part of the film. Pao got extra junk because they didn't give us popcorn. Boo. They should've compensated by giving us two hotdogs! Anyway, SM North was so packed there were people and cars everywhere. We parked at the empty spot at the Valet parking. In our defense, we searched the place and had circled the block to find the valet booth but to no avail. And then when we got back, no one was there either so we just took off. HAHA

To end the day we had Moonleaf to go.

So yes, I need rest. Today I swear I'm not doing anything, nothing at all!

PS. I'm only quoting Bruno Mars's song because of Edei :p

X-Men First Class

Labels:

We watched Xmen : First Class yesterday. I first thought the the first class meant like you were going to watch the movie in the best cinema like it had the lazy boy and stuff until I noticed every Xmen movie on the screen said "First Class" Pft HAHA.

Ok so can I just say? It beats all the Xmen movies! Hell, that bromance back story of Erik and Charles. I came to love Magneto because of it. I wished with all my heart that Shaw lived so Erik and Charles would end up in the same team hehe.

The whole WWII and the reference to The Bay of Pigs back ground story is just superb. I think I'm biased with every movie that chooses these historical events. The people behind this movie has done a good job (except for the musical score which was kind of funny at times) I could watch it so many times :)

Hey! Spot Nicholas Hoult (Tony from Skins UK Series 1-2) <3

I want to put this on my bedroom wall!

Erik says Shaw is his creator but Xavier taught him well how to unleash his full potential

Aren't they adorable? I want to take them home.

I wonder how things would be like in 10 years. :)

I had a post similar to this at Multiply. Years after, this love and technology thing still makes me wonder.

Friday Mall Day

Labels: , ,

Pam and I decided to watch KimmyDora yesterday. It was so hard to make other friends' schedules meet that we ended up not going with Gel and Ayee again. Good thing Ate Kamille went with us. Pam called her "Ate" Kamille as well that's why I asked thier ages to clear the thing up. Pam was a year older than Ate Kamille hahaha. Sometimes I wonder if Pam gets agitated or pissed when I joke about her age. I do not intend to insult her, I think it's kind of funny and fortunate in her part that she looks (and sounds and acts) the youngest. Lol.

Anyway, KimmyDora was just fine. The audience were entertained so much. Yes, it was kind of a slapstick comedy. Plus I've watched its trailer a number of times that many punchlines did not make me laugh anymore.

There was an unexpectedly huge crowd at the mall when we came out of the cinema. We thought it was a concert or something. Students all over the place from different schools, colleges and universities; there were some older people too. We were puzzled of what was happening so we asked the guard and she said Billy Crawford was the cause of all the commotion.

We went on to eat dinner thinking it really was Billy the crowd came for, talking about him having a huge fan base etc. Ate Kamille brought us to the toy store that sells FroYo. I had NY Cheesecake, Brownies and Graham clusters for toppings. Really delicioso!

We were waiting for the crowd to clear when we saw the photo op downstairs with a group. Just then we realized it was the Jabbawockeez that caused all the fuzz! Lol. That's why a crowd was so big. (As in believe me, it was already irritating to walk among that huge bulk of people, with that smell and all that ugh whatever you call that)

Ate Kamille was still waiting for some friends that's why we decided to play at Timezone for a while. Too bad we run out of credits just when I was about to horse race!

The journey home was a disaster. It's good that Pam and I were cool about it. I think I'm more patient these days. :)

Up Hangover

Labels: , , ,

I just thought yesterday, since I had nothing to say to N, that I was Carl and Pam was Russel. I kind of smiled as I read my own message and quickly sent it to Pam and Ayee. Ayee asked "So sino ako? Si Kevin?" I initially thought of Erika (solely because of the name itself) but I guess she doesn't want to be Kevin; and the role playing of Up itself. I said "Yes! Because you're makulay!" And we were the cast of Up already :D

The movie did not make me cry but it sure made me feel sad. Carl and Ellie - childhood sweethearts, dreamt of going to Paradise Lost,

got married, built their home,

and stayed together until Ellie left.

I'm Carl because I'm grumpy like that.

I'm Carl because...

I have to get a toy and a shirt!

Driven for Up

Labels: , ,

At last! Pam and I finally watched Up today! Too bad Gel was not able to make it. Still, it was fun! We first decided to watch at Trinoma. When we got there, the line was so long then we found out that they only have Up on 3D. That would cost us 300php. No! Not ready for that. We then called TicketNet to ask for Gateway's sched. The next screening's already at 9pm. No! Too late! We rushed to SM North for our last hope. The Block only had Up on 3D as well. We were about to panic when the lady told it was shown in Cinema 5 - Main Mall (so alam mo na, walang 3D dun!)

Hurray! Tickets in our hands. We weren't able to buy food. NO TACOBELL. Boo! Haha I checked out the shirts outside the Cinema. I want to buy one! or two!!! :D

It was good. I enjoyed the movie! I'm glad I was able to watch already. :))

We hurried, stopped by Tacobell to soothe our cravings then went straight home. A lot of brisk walking today. Really! Very driven for Up :)

I shall have my adventure too! I just hope I get to do it with my own Ellie :)
